Description
Profile - Roles and Responsibilities
1. Ensuring all the calls are reported to ServiceDesk and are resolved as per the SLAs .
2. Audit Compliance: Making sure all hardware within the company is under audit compliance. If system is moving out of company network permanently it needs to be completely formatted (kill disk). Coordinating with Managers + Supervisors to ensure audit compliance is met in VAC.
3. Escalate IT issues to the IT Manager where-ever necessary.
4. Diagnoses and resolve technical issues.
5. Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops.
6. Install authorized company software to laptops and desktops.
7. Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and Laptops.
8. Fault-finding to laptops, printers, desktops and other IT hardware.
9. Reporting faults and maintaining logs on desktops and laptops.
10. Completing internal user moves including phones.
11. Patching of network and phones.
12. Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained.
13. Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software.
14. Ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained. .
15. Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR Requirements.
16. Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers.
17. Prepare documents and maintain IT inventory and asset log for IT Hardware and software.
18. Perform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational Objectives.
19. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager .
20. Work extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonable .
21. Provide assistance as required to the IT Manager .
22. Provide assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters .
23. Judicious use of natural resources .
24. Shall adhere to the environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization.
Qualification & Experience (Education, Experience, specific knowledge, skills, understanding,
attitude)
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's in computers science or Equivalent
Additional: ITIL/ CompTIA A+/ MTA/ MCSE/CCNA/
Experience:
Min 2 - 5 years of work experience in the field of IT.
Working/Hands-on experience of MS Office/Office 365 products.
Working/Hands-on experience of MS Windows Operating systems and Mac (recommended).
Experience of working as Support Engineer(any).
Working experience on LAN and WAN Networks.
Commercial Network experience (basic knowledge of Firewall, ADSL/DSL routers and switches).
Logical understanding of general IT system and setup is mandatory.
Complete understanding on Types of Networks available ( Fibre, DSL, Copper, MWAN, 5G/4G etc..
