• They have a strong Microsoft team already, they are lacking in SAP SAC experience. So this person doesn t need experience with Fabric, PowerBI, etc. Those are all nice to haves.

Job Description

This is a backfill for their supervisor of Reporting and Analytics - including AI. This role supervises 3 people, but also is very hands on in the technology and the work. They need someone dynamic who wants to grow with the company.

Position Summary
The Manager, Reporting / Analytics / AI Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI capabilities across platforms such as SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. This role is accountable for building and sustaining a high-performing team that delivers accurate, scalable, and insight-driven solutions to support business decision-making. The manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle of BI and AI applications from data integration and modeling to visualization and automation and ensures alignment with organizational goals, data governance standards, and evolving technology trends. In addition, this role is responsible for enabling AI adoption by operationalizing use cases through machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to create meaningful impact across business functions.

Essential Functions
Lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI-driven applications.
Manage and mentor a team of developers and data scientists/analysts, fostering innovation in analytics and artificial intelligence.
Build and maintain advanced dashboards, KPIs, and predictive reports using SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
Leverage AI/ML frameworks to enable forecasting, anomaly detection, and intelligent recommendations across business functions.
Integrate Azure ML, Fabric Notebooks, and Python-based models into enterprise reporting workflows for enhanced automation and insights.
Collaborate with business units to identify AI use cases, define success metrics, and implement solutions that deliver measurable impact.
Ensure scalable and secure data integration from SAP S/4HANA, CDS views, and other sources.
Establish governance, performance tuning, and DevOps practices across all reporting and AI tools.
Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing.
Agile project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.

Education and Experience

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master s preferred).
8+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, with 3+ years in a managerial or team leadership role.
Strong experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
Proficient in Python, SQL, and DAX, with hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML models.
Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Azure ML.
Ability to lead cross-functional analytics and AI projects from concept to deployment.
Experience deploying AI solutions such as demand forecasting, customer segmentation, or intelligent alerting within enterprise environments.
Knowledge of NLP, generative AI, or LLMs (Large Language Models) in reporting or knowledge management contexts.
Experience with automated insights, explainable AI, or AI-driven visual analytics.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Data Governance, and MDM principles.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
