We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering professional to join our team. As an individual contributor, you will set and achieve objectives within your area of responsibility, leveraging your expertise in Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures to influence process and planning decisions. Your role will ensure that the quality of RTX suppliers, products, and processes complies with internal and regulatory standards and is continuously improving. What You Will Do
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
  • Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product
  • Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
  • Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Recommends product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
  • Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
  • Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
  • Conducts/lead thorough investigations on issues in areas of responsibility. RTPR support on daily basis as required.
  • Be a promoter and have full understanding of problem solving tools that enable to coach others in the tool application and use
  • Conduct Layered process Audit. Support Audits events of all sorts, as required.
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable on MS Office Suite applications.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • 1 year of Project Management experience or relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry
  • Experience using computer applications, with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Knowledge of / experience in a Quality facing role
  • Experience in a multi-responsibility organization.
  • Quality certifications and experience with FAA and conformity processes is desirable.
  • Experience with advanced quality and PPAP tools/processes also desirable
  • ASQ CQE Certified (preferred)
  • IPC electronic assembly standards knowledge (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (preferred)
