Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Support Specialist with hands-on experience supporting Benchling, a leading cloud-based platform for life sciences R&D. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical application support within a regulated GxP environment, and exposure to Computer System Validation (CSV) is highly desirable. The role requires close collaboration with the client s IT and Quality teams to ensure consistent and compliant system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical support contact for Benchling application issues and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Benchling-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and Benchling vendor support to resolve complex issues.
  • Participate in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Benchling instances.
  • Ensure support and configuration activities are performed in alignment with GxP compliance requirements.
  • Support validation and qualification efforts (CSV), including documentation and testing where applicable.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support guides.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including QA, R&D, and Regulatory to align Benchling usage with business needs.
  • Assist in change management and impact assessments for system updates and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely response to incidents, requests, and escalations in a structured ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical application support, preferably in life sciences or biotech domain.
  • Hands-on experience with the Benchling platform (user support, configuration, admin tasks).
  • Familiarity with GxP guidelines and regulatory compliance in IT systems.
  • Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV) principles and documentation standards.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices for incident and problem management.
  • Experience working within or closely with internal IT departments.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
