Now Hiring for the Position of: Software Quality Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our Product Delivery Services department. This position will be part of a cross functional Agile team focused on developing and delivering solutions to migrate from a legacy system to a modern platform. Extensive collaboration with other Agile teams in the department is required to support the transformation and drive the future technology needs of the company. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to design, create and run test cases using formal manual testing practices. Must be very proactive, have technical aptitude, and the desire to promote innovative approaches to ensure high quality releases. Lincoln Heritage is looking for a Software Quality Analyst to:

  • Utilize formal testing approaches and methodologies to contribute to a process focused on high quality deliverables
  • Conduct manual testing of system applications which include web and legacy platforms
  • Be a strong presence on the team with testing of internal and external facing applications

Responsibilities

  • Create, review and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases using systematic approaches and formal risk-based testing techniques
  • Review user stories and technical documentation ensuring completeness and testability
  • Estimate, plan and prioritize testing activities for assigned stories
  • Identify, log, and process defects
  • Create and execute regression testing suites using test case management system
  • Work closely with the team to thoroughly understand system requirements and business rules
  • Maintain basic understanding of business processes and terms in order to understand application of user stories
  • Work with team members when assistance is needed to test, evaluate, and validate IT initiatives and identify defects in software or services
  • Assist in the development and implementation of testing metrics to ensure priorities and objectives are aligned with business needs
  • Engage in positive and professional interaction with internal and external team members
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and Agile team
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans and test cases created by other Software Quality Analysts

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with manual testing
  • 3+ years working on Agile teams
  • 3+ years using Jira (or similar Agile work management tool)
  • Ability to document clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
  • Proven work experience in formal testing techniques, processes, and risk-based testing
  • Effective with testing and ensuring quality releases of cloud based applications
  • Experience with data quality analysis; for example, data exchanged between systems using APIs, web services, and data file extracts
  • Familiarity using services provided by AWS
  • Proactively learn new systems, platforms, and technologies as part of effectively writing test cases and determining best test approach
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work individually and on a team, self-motived with strong work ethic
  • Good time management skills
  • Attention to detail, tactful, and diplomatic

  • Kanban Agile experience
