Job Description: Video Conferencing and Video Streaming Support Engineer (Remote support will be considered for fully qualified candidates)

Description:

Client is looking for a candidate for a Technical Matter Specialist position with Project Management skills to provide High-Definition Video Conferencing System and Video Streaming System Support. This position requires specialized knowledge and skills of architecture, technology, tools, and an in-depth understanding of the underlying hardware and software, the ability to recognize, diagnose and resolve complex problems.

The right candidate must be self-disciplined, self-aware, adhere to timelines, have the ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies independently and quickly, proactively resolve problems and take an active role and responsibility for the various projects of the customer.

Tasks:

  • Design and implement complex video solutions in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Provide configuration support for video conferencing and streaming.
  • Configure VCS devices for video and audio signaling and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot video and audio issues of video streams.
  • Open trouble tickets with external vendors on equipment that is under maintenance.
  • Assist with special projects that may require working with multiple vendors, field personnel, and area/district IS managers.
  • Resolve client connectivity, interference, authentication, and coverage issues.
  • Work with users/customers to resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot switch and routing issues such as Netscaler problems, VLANs, multicast, IGMP and other routing issues.
  • VCS Control and Expressway configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Zoom Rooms configuration and support.
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Configuration and installation of new systems onto the network.
  • Administration of Cisco s Telepresence Management Suite (TMS).
  • VCS / Zoom API Connector integration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Engineer systems connectivity and backup solutions.
  • Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) Production Server and Cisco Prime Infrastructure support.
  • Support of VCS in the field sites on Layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices.
  • Manage inventory of VCS equipment.
  • Assist with Change Requests and Moves, Adds, Changes, and Delete (MACD) requests.

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

  • A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years relevant experience.
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
  • Typically performs all functional duties independently.
  • Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.

Additional Provisions

  • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • Once candidate s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
  • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required in accordance with the client s federal agency eligibility standards.
  • In accordance with Public Trust background investigation guidelines, candidates must have resided within the United States for at least the past five years. Extended travel or residence outside the United States totaling more than six months during the past five years (excluding official military service) may affect eligibility.
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
  • Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
