Job Title: Cybersecurity Project Manager
Location: OFFSITE

Type: Contract
Compensation: $45/HR
Contractor Work Model: 100% Remote

ALTA IT is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and coordinate IT and cyber-related activities in support of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. This role will focus on pre- and post-acquisition planning, due diligence, audit coordination, and risk assessments to ensure a seamless integration process. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between corporate development, IT, and cybersecurity teams, managing communication, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely, accurate responses to M&A-related requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all IT and cybersecurity workstreams for M&A projects, from initial due diligence through integration or divestiture.
  • Serve as the IT point of contact for M&A activities, ensuring alignment with corporate development and business units.
  • Collect, review, and respond to M&A questionnaires and requests in an efficient, expedited manner.
  • Coordinate audit and compliance activities, including documentation gathering, evidence submission, and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct and track risk assessments related to M&A activities, identifying potential gaps and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate project plans, status reports, and meeting documentation.
  • Lead regular project meetings, set agendas, track action items, and follow through to ensure completion.
  • Develop a repeatable knowledge base and best practices to support future M&A due diligence efforts.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between IT, security, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field
    • OR 4 additional years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience, including planning, execution, milestone tracking, and deliverable management.
  • Experience in M&A or divestiture environments, preferably within IT or cybersecurity.
  • Experience with audit coordination and compliance-related activities.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, follow up on tasks, and ensure accountability.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a focus on accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and translate cybersecurity and IT requirements to varied audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation preparation for executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification.
  • Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+).
  • Prior experience in the health insurance or healthcare industry
