The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Criteria:
- Virtual Machines (VMs): Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing virtual machines in Azure, including knowledge of VM sizes, images, networking, and storage options. Unix/Linux administration required.
- Azure Fundamentals: A strong understanding of fundamental Azure concepts, including Azure services, resource management, subscriptions, and billing.
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in automation and scripting using tools like Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments and management.
- Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps services for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD), including Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Artifacts, and Azure DevOps Boards.
- Azure Networking: Knowledge of Azure networking services, such as Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, Azure Firewall, Azure Load Balancer, Azure VPN Gateway, and Azure ExpressRoute.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Understanding of Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure AD Connect, role-based access control (RBAC), conditional access policies, and identity federation.
- Storage: Familiarity with Azure storage services, including Azure Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Disk Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Backup.
- Monitoring and Logging: Ability to set up monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, and Azure Security Center for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of Azure services and features for achieving high availability and disaster recovery, such as Azure Availability Sets, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Site Recovery, and geo-redundant storage.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and application issues efficiently using monitoring data, logs, and diagnostic tools.
