Job Summary:

The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding teams in the effective use of Agile and Scrum practices to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves coaching, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and supporting the team in adhering to Scrum principles while also managing aspects of traditional project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the team in following Agile best practices and removing impediments to progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and internal teams.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to quality assurance by participating in testing and ensuring deliverables meet defined standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement and help the team maintain a sustainable pace of work.
  • Assist in backlog grooming and prioritization with the Product Owner.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, dependencies, and team capacity.

  • Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of software development concepts and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager role.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
