Microsoft 365/Cloud Migration Engineer


Work Environment:


This position is 100% on-site in White Plains, NY.


Standard workweek of 35 hours.


Length: 24 month+


Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Engineer to lead and execute our organization's M365 migration project. This is a critical role requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process. The ideal candidate will be proactive, hands-on, and able to collaborate across teams while working on-site at our White Plains, NY office.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the end-to-end M365 migration project, including planning, design, execution, and post-migration support.

  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define migration strategies, timelines, and milestones.

  • Conduct detailed assessments of existing infrastructure and recommend best practices for M365 deployment.

  • Perform data migrations (email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) with minimal business disruption.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to M365 services.

  • Provide expert guidance on M365 security, compliance, and governance.

  • Develop documentation, training materials, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables while maintaining high quality and performance standards.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of IT experience, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.

  • Proven track record of leading M365 migration projects for mid-to-large sized organizations.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Intune, and security/compliance features.

  • In-depth knowledge of hybrid environments, identity management, and authentication methods.

  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills-must be able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
