General Summary:
The IT Associate is an entry-level role within Unum IT, designed to attract and support high-caliber candidates as they begin their careers in a SAFe-aligned Agile environment.

The IT Associate Agile Analyst is an entry-level role within the Enterprise Agile Office (EAO), designed to support Agile transformation initiatives and gain practical experience in Agile practices, tools, and delivery frameworks. This role is ideal for early-career professionals seeking to grow within a SAFe-aligned Agile organization. The IT Associate Agile Analyst contributes directly to Agile maturity assessments, training coordination, tooling support, and continuous improvement efforts, while working closely with Agile Coaches and other team members.

As a member of the Enterprise Agile Office (EAO), the IT Associate Agile Analyst will contribute to the analysis, design, testing, and delivery of software-based solutions. Working closely with Agile Coaches and team members, the individual will support Agile transformation initiatives, tooling, training coordination, and continuous improvement efforts.

This is a collaborative team role, ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, able to context switch, and eager to learn Agile practices and tools. The position offers exposure to multiple Agile functions and a clear path for growth into Agile delivery roles.

Job Specifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT, business analysis, project coordination, or Agile environments.
  • Foundational understanding of Agile principles and the SAFe framework.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to grow in a structured Agile environment.

Technology Skills/Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Agile ceremonies, user stories, and team roles.
  • Experience with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence, Miro).
  • Willingness to learn Agile reporting tools and dashboards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain Agile Program and Team organizational structures to support tooling and reporting needs.
  • Coordinate and document Agile Maturity Assessments and track related metrics to support enterprise-level reporting.
  • Manage Agile training paths by scheduling sessions, tracking participation, and reporting outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Agile coaching ceremonies and training events, applying Agile practices and sharing observations.
  • Maintain and configure Agile tooling platforms (e.g., Jira, Rally, piplanning.io) to ensure data accuracy and usability.
  • Oversee Agile tooling and training subscriptions/licenses, ensuring timely renewals and access management.
  • Test and validate custom reports and dashboards to support Agile metrics and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Agile Coaches and Analysts to ensure consistent and accurate data entry across tools.
  • Prepare training materials and documentation for Agile workshops, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Support the delivery of module-based training and manage logistics, communications, and follow-up activities.
  • Participate in Agile learning sessions, retrospectives, and coaching hours to deepen understanding of Agile frameworks.
  • Apply feedback from Agile Coaches and team leads to continuously improve performance and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate initiative in learning Agile tools, frameworks, and enterprise delivery practices.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$52,000.00-$101,000.00
