Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York
Develop a formula software engine to allow configuration of calculations for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) Reporting needs. Host software design workshops with internal clients to understand the business processes including data collection, calculations, audit, controls, and attestations. Conduct in-depth analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L forecasting models to map data into the reporting models for Fed CCAR reporting and collaborate with clients to deliver the fed reporting solution. Use Agile Methodology to plan, manage and measure performance. Coordinate with team members in different locations to manage software code delivery. Work closely with Finance project managers to define milestones and report progress to senior stakeholders. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $189,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Consultant, IT Analyst, ETL Developer, or a related role in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: OLAP multi-dimensional databases including Cognos TM1; TM1 technical skills including rules and TI coding, security setup, report development, and ongoing maintenance of existing models; Python or Java; financial planning, budgeting and forecasting functions; Databases including Design and SQL; frameworks used for development and automated testing including Junit and Behavioral Driven Development (BDD); source control including Git; Continuous Integration tools including Jenkins; Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies; Agile development methodologies and DevOps Integration; and working with global teams and clients.
