Duration: 6 months + extensions for Hypercare

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP MM/PP Consultant to lead the configuration and implementation of core MRP processes in an S/4HANA environment. This role involves designing and setting up material management and production planning strategies across a high-volume, multi-location environment, with over 900 sites in the supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and configure MRP settings in S/4HANA to support demand planning and procurement across distributed locations.
• Define and maintain buy/sell relationships between distribution centers and vendors.
• Set up and execute MRP Live, ensuring demand fulfillment via system-automated processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define material types (initially 2, expanding to 3+) and create appropriate material groups.
• Ensure seamless interaction between sales orders, purchase orders, and distribution demands.
• Lead workshops and discussions with business users to gather requirements and explain MRP logic.
• Troubleshoot supply chain process flows and optimize S/4HANA settings for performance and scalability.
• Provide leadership and functional guidance to junior team members or business SMEs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP MM and PP modules, especially in S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in MRP setup, including planning strategies, lot sizing, source of supply, and procurement types.
• Familiarity with MRP Live and its functional implications across large-scale environments.
• Experience setting up material types and material groups.
• Ability to translate complex MRP configuration into understandable business terms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP IS-Retail for industry-specific supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba integration for sourcing and procurement workflows.
• Familiarity with goods movement processes, including inventory transfers, goods receipts, and issue postings.
• Exposure to intercompany stock transport and consignment scenarios.

Work Environment:

• Primarily remote with potential occasional travel to client site.
• Collaboration with internal teams and business units across the supply chain function.
