Project Description

This role is responsible for coordinating payroll simulation and parallel testing cycles as part of a Workday Payroll implementation. The position ensures strong alignment across Payroll Operations, Finance, Integration, and Testing teams, while providing leadership with clear visibility into simulation testing progress, parallel testing results, and overall readiness.

The role plays a critical part in validating payroll accuracy and ensuring a smooth transition to production.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all payroll simulation and parallel testing cycles, including data sets, pay periods, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Finance, Integration, and Testing teams to ensure test scenarios and prerequisites are fully prepared.
• Track execution completion, payroll reconciliations, defect trends, and readiness metrics.
• Partner with leadership to design and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into key indicators and readiness status.
• Support defect resolution, risk identification and escalation, and readiness gating decisions.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of payroll process experience, including US multi-state payroll.
• Workday Payroll certification is mandatory.
• Proven experience coordinating payroll simulation and parallel cycles in a payroll implementation environment.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Smartsheet, including dashboard creation for leadership reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
