SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Automation Engineer (Network) for aHybrid opportunity. The candidate will design, develop, test, implement, and support automation solutions to advance network as code initiatives. This is a hands-on role responsible for ongoing support and development of the automation platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate across teams.
Required Qualifications of the Automation Engineer (Network):
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 4 years of relevant job-related experience (in lieu of a degree), or 2 years of relevant experience with an Associate s degree in a job-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or other job-related IT experience.
- Solid understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools such as Ansible, GitHub, Python Cisco ACI and GitHub experience for Software Defined Networks.
- Experience working in a fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
- Experience with F5 Big-IP appliances
Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer (Network):
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain network automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and GitHub for Software Defined Networks (SDN) including Cisco ACI.
- Work closely with analysts and team members to understand business requirements. Confer with users to gather insights and recommend improvements or necessary changes.
- Modify programs according to specifications. Code and compile application software to meet timelines and budget constraints. Evaluate interrelationships among applications for potential impacts.
- Create test files and data, verify logic, debug code, and document processes. Ensure applications function according to user requirements and standards.
- Assist in identifying and resolving production issues. Support performance tuning and recommend feasible technical solutions.
Work Location:_ Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and as needed.)_
