Job Details

Position: Software Vehicle Test Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA (100% onsite)

Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Software Vehicle Test Engineer to join our System Integration and Test (SIT) team. This position belongs to a part of our multifaceted crew that tests, measures and maintains the performance and quality of the NVIDIA autonomous products. As a member of this team you will work closely with multi-functional teams at NVIDIA. You are encouraged to have strong communication, interpersonal, coding, AV technical and debugging skills. This role requires domestic and international travel as per job needs.

What you ll be doing:

  • Handle end-to-end AV software testing for autonomous functionalities (like ACC, LK, Lane Change etc.), Safety features & parking, collaborating with teams across NVIDIA Automotive platform.
  • Validate NVIDIA Drive product at vehicle level and review requirements, develop test metrics and establish KPI-metrics evaluation.
  • Design test routes and perform in-car tests at larger scale to ensure SW quality could match expectations of the end user.
  • Report events as per the defined protocols including Safety and work with collaborators to improve the reports, communication.
  • Travel to different locations to perform in-car testing based on test plans to collect proving ground and public road scenarios to ensure comprehensive real-world testing for ADAS/AS SW features.
  • Collect quality and valuable expert feedback from in-car test drives and present them with multi-functional feature PICs/Leads.
  • Debugging issues, collaborating with engineers to identify root causes, and chip in to process improvements.


What we need to see:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science/engineering
  • 3+ years of in-vehicle testing for ADAS (manager would consider more junior candidates who have 1+ years of experience)
  • Combination of in-vehicle testing and development (programming focused, manager can train on the triage side)
  • Experience with C++, coding: Python, JavaScript, database management and Linux/QNX


Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience on AV Triage workflows.
  • Proven large scale in-car test experience in autonomous Driving (L2/L3/L4) and Parking product with excellence in debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Coding skills Python, JavaScript, databases
  • Experience in AV development, testing or Automotive Standards ISO26262, ISO21448.
  • A valid Driving License.
