We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer numerical control (CNC) programming, operating, and training, with a thorough understanding of manual machines, CNC machines, tooling, vertical mills, lathes, microscopes, and hand tools. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical skills in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs for the manufacturing processes.
2. Operate and oversee the operation of CNC machines, manual machines, lathes, and vertical mills.
3. Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff on CNC operation and programming.
4. Participate in the selection and maintenance of equipment, including CNC machines, tooling, microscopes, and hand tools.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of programming and machine operations.
8. Adhere to all safety and quality standards in all aspects of work.
9. Continually seek ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum of 8 years' experience in CNC programming, operation, and training.
3. Proficiency in using various manual machines, CNC machines, tooling, vertical mills, lathes, microscopes, and hand tools.
4. Extensive knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and production equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and guide team members.
7. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
8. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
9. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
11. Must be willing to continually update knowledge and skills in the field of CNC programming and operation.
12. CAD/CAM software experience is a plus.
