Title: IT Senior Project Manager

Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to lead an Enterprise Data Warehouse modernization initiative for a large public-sector technology program. This role involves close collaboration with IT data teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners to replace a legacy SQL Server based data warehouse with a modern platform built on Informatica and Snowflake.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, capable of driving large-scale data and technology projects through all phases from planning to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate project activities to ensure alignment with the project plan, goals, and schedules for multiple related workstreams.
Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts to leadership.
Provide regular project status updates, timelines, and risk reports to management and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and checklists to align with funding and staffing availability.
Collaborate with business leaders to establish and maintain release schedules.
Gather requirements through JAD sessions, interviews, process analysis, and workflow reviews.
Develop and manage plans for quality control, risk management, change management, and testing.
Ensure adherence to established project management standards and governance methodologies.
Coordinate with development teams, business analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure successful delivery.
Prepare and maintain system documentation and secure required approvals.
Lead meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
Produce weekly status reports and escalate issues or risks as needed.
Maintain effective working relationships across technical and business teams.
Support testing and production environments, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Stay informed of industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with project teams.
Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on assigned initiatives.
Skills & Abilities:
Minimum 3 years of IT project management experience, managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Project Management methodologies.
Proven ability to draft functional specifications and lead requirement sessions.
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile project tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Experience in change management, risk assessment, and process improvement.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Experience preparing detailed documentation such as requirements, test plans, and user guides.
Education & Certification:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
