Senior Business Analyst SAP BusinessObjects (BO) & Tableau (Insurance Domain)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and Tableau, ideally within the insurance domain, to lead business intelligence initiatives and drive data-driven decision-making. The role requires a combination of business acumen, analytical thinking, and deep technical understanding of reporting platforms. The BA will act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate reporting and analytics requirements into actionable deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Lead the design and delivery of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BO and Tableau.
  • Perform gap analysis, process analysis, and data analysis to support business objectives.
  • Lead workshops and working sessions to understand reporting pain points and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Support data quality assessments, data validation, and data governance efforts.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to ensure data readiness and report delivery.
  • Assist in migrating existing BO reports to Tableau, ensuring data consistency and user acceptance.
  • Provide leadership in BI reporting best practices, visualization storytelling, and user training.
  • Develop functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as a change agent in BI adoption across business teams.
  • Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and support production rollouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in BI/Analytics projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Universe Design, Web Intelligence, and Crystal Reports.
  • Solid experience in Tableau dashboard development and data storytelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work with relational databases.
  • Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices and BI solution design.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and functional documentation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum project environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in the insurance domain with a strong understanding of insurance-related data and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in BO to Tableau migration projects.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, data lakes, and cloud data platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in financial services or healthcare domain is also a plus.
  • Tableau or BO certifications are an advantage.
