Position Summary

The Desktop Support Specialist provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for end-users in a corporate environment. This role focuses on resolving hardware, software, and account-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate documentation for knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices in a corporate setting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 applications, and user accounts.
  • Perform Active Directory administration, including password resets, group membership updates, and account provisioning.
  • Document ticket details thoroughly in the ITSM system to support the development of knowledge base articles for Tier 1.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper device setup and access configuration.
  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, and remote tools with professionalism and urgency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Previous Experience

  • 2-5 years of Help Desk experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience documenting ticket details to support knowledge base development.

Certifications/Licenses

  • ITIL, Microsoft, MAC, Citrix, UniPrint (desired).
  • Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
