Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

- Initial Assignment: Altoona, IA (6 months) - Lodging and per diem provided
- Long-Term Role: Lebanon, IN (starting July/August 2026)

About the Role
As a Data Center Technician, you'll work on real-world projects in dynamic environments. You'll learn the fundamentals of structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and data center operations while working alongside experienced professionals.
What You'll Do
- Install work-area outlets for floors (monuments), modular furniture (surface-mount boxes), and walls (box eliminators).
- Pull and route cable: drop cable down walls using fish tape; route through modular furniture.
- Prepare cables for termination: organize, dress, label, and determine length/slack.
- Suspend and support cable using trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, trapeze systems.
- Build telecom closets: mount/install backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber-optic components.
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling.
- Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire-rated walls; install sleeves; pull cable through penetrations.
- Terminate low-voltage devices to industry standards.
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on experience (school, work, or hobby) in trades, cabling, electronics, or mechanical/electrical work.
- Comfort using hand and power tools; willingness to learn punchdown and termination techniques.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety-first mindset.
- Ability to work on ladders/lifts, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift/carry materials.
- Team-oriented attitude and professionalism.
Bonus: Exposure to cabling, low-voltage systems, or electronics is a plus-but not required!
