Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Ownership

Lead the electrical engineering organization and own end-to-end development of electrical products-from concept, design, and prototyping through qualification.
Drive electrical design and testing efforts across subsidiary engineering teams, including work on film capacitors, RC networks, EMI filters, and transformer technologies.
Oversee schematic creation, electrical analysis, component selection, derating, PCBA layout, prototyping, bring-up, and iterative testing.

Product Development & Collaboration

Engage with customers to understand use cases and refine requirements.
Define qualification plans and partner with test engineering to execute environmental and functional testing.
Partner with build engineers to ensure manufacturability and integrate DFM feedback.

Process & Organizational Development

Establish and expand design processes, including simulation standards, PCBA layout workflows, and configuration management.
Support PLM development, documentation control, and engineering workflows.
Evaluate adjacent engineering needs (firmware, software, RF, power, etc.) and contribute to organizational planning.

Team Leadership

Recruit, develop, and mentor electrical engineers at all levels.
Participate in full-cycle hiring, headcount planning, and team management.
Support diligence and capability assessments for subsidiary engineering and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional electrical design experience.
Expertise in electrical design using first-principles thinking across power, filtering, logic, firmware/software interfaces, and production constraints.
Strong proficiency in schematics, component selection, simulation, and hands-on debugging with standard lab equipment.
Highly curious, fast-learning, and able to contribute across diverse electrical and manufacturing domains.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ownership-driven early-stage environment.
Familiarity with electrical analysis, simulation tools, and industry standards.

Nice to have: Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other qualification/certification frameworks.
