Position: IFS ERP Application Support Specialist
Location: Remote, USA
Mandatory skills- IFS 7 and ITSM. IFS Cloud skills would be added advantage.
IFS 7 Application Support Specialist for a role which involves providing technical and functional support for the IFS Applications 7 system, including troubleshooting, user training, and system maintenance.
Responsibilities include resolving user issues, user onboarding and offboarding, managing incidents and requests, contributing to knowledge management, and ensuring the smooth operation of the IFS environment.
This role requires a combination of technical and functional expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to handling support tickets and problem-solving to ensure the effective use and maintenance of the IFS Applications 7 system.
Key Responsibilities:
User Support: Acting as a point of contact for end-users, providing guidance, resolving inquiries, and ensuring effective use of the IFS system through training and documentation.
User Maintenance: User onboarding and offboarding.
Incident & Problem Management: Proactively monitoring application availability and ticket queues Logging and tracking tickets, resolving incidents and service requests, and proactively identifying and addressing recurring issues.
System Maintenance: Supporting the technical environment, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the completion of maintenance tasks like updates and backups.
Data Management: Assisting with data integrity and quality within the IFS system.
Knowledge Management: Contributing to and maintaining a shared knowledge base, documenting procedures, and creating user guides.
Collaboration: Working with technical teams, internal project teams, and potentially with external support partners to resolve complex issues.
Technical and Functional Expertise:
Understanding the IFS application's functionalities, code base, and troubleshooting techniques in front-end, service layer, and backend databases.
Support the users in handling tickets related to configuring / customizing IFS for processes such as Discrete Manufacturing, Order Shipping, Engineer-to-Order, Configure-to-Order, Plan-to-Produce, Procure-to-Pay, Shop Floor Reporting, Material and Resource Planning
SOX / Audit Controls: Perform regular SOX Controls
Reporting: Tracking and reporting on issues and providing data analysis for problem resolution.
Training: Delivering user training, creating training materials, and ensuring users are properly equipped to utilize the system.
Required Skills & Experience:
IFS Applications Experience: 7+ years of strong hands-on experience with IFS ERP - IFS 7 or later versions is essential.
Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues related to the IFS system.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with users and technical teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
ITIL Processes: Understanding of ITIL processes related to Incident Management, Service Request Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
Database Concepts Knowledge of database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), Knowledge of database concepts and the ability to assist users with data extraction.
Business Acumen: Understanding of how the IFS system supports business operations. Business Expertise in Manufacturing Processes such as Discrete Manufacturing, Engineer-to-Order, Configure-to-Order, Plan-to-Produce, Procure-to-Pay, Shop Floor Reporting, Material and Resource Planning and experience with specific IFS modules like Finance or Supply Chain
Desirable Skills: Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and data migration and experience in IFS Cloud.
