Job Description:

Requirement/Must Have:
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in AWS Cloud Platform engineering and administration.
  • Strong leadership experience in driving transformation initiatives.
  • Minimum of 1 AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Hands-on current implementation and production-level AWS experience.
  • Proficiency with AWS services, including but not limited to VPC, Networking, Direct Connect, EC2, S3, IAM, ELBs, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, EKS, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in automation and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Proficiency with AWS CloudFormation and CDK.
  • Experience writing Lambda functions in Python (Boto3).
  • Strong Linux system administration skills.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Git).
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated provisioning/release, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience:
  • 3 5 years in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
  • 3+ years with containerization and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with AI integration patterns using AWS services such as Kendra, Lambda, Bedrock, and RAG models.
  • Exposure to cloud-native architecture, including microservices, immutable infrastructure, and service mesh.
  • Agile/Scrum environment experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems supporting applications.
  • Develop and implement preventative measures to avoid system downtime.
  • Research, test, and evaluate new systems, software, and products for integration.
  • Mentor junior and senior team members.
  • Design and implement scalable AWS cloud environments.
  • Establish automation capabilities using cloud-native solutions to improve developer experience.
  • Support system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Migrate legacy applications to cloud-native microservices on AWS.
  • Monitor system stability, availability, and performance, recommending improvements.
  • Automate patching and upgrades for AWS environments.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define feasible requirements.
Should Have:
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, or Go.
  • Experience with container networking plugins (Calico, Flannel, Weave Net).
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, AWS App Mesh).
  • Experience with container security tools (Twistlock, Sysdig, Aqua).
  • Strong understanding of Linux, shell scripting, networking, security, and storage in cloud environments.
Skills:
  • AWS Cloud Platform and related services.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
  • Automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet).
  • Containerization and orchestration.

Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master s preferred).
  • Instead of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience.
  • AWS certification required.
