Architecture Lead Analyst (Data Analyst) C13

The Architecture Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who remains current with advancements in their field and contributes to the organization's strategic direction by evaluating their application within the business. Recognized as a technical authority in their area, this role requires a balance of subject matter expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence peers and stakeholders. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding colleagues, engaging with cross-functional teams, and occasionally working with external customers. The role has a significant impact through complex deliverables, providing counsel on technology and operational matters that affect an entire area, ultimately influencing the performance and effectiveness of the broader function.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute the architectural vision for IT systems through large, complex architecture projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise blueprints.

  • Develop technology roadmaps, stay current with emerging technologies, and recommend business directions based on these insights.

  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the development of components or overall systems design.

  • Translate complex business challenges into sound, practical technical solutions.

  • Apply hardware engineering and software design principles to research, design, and develop product hardware/software interfaces.

  • Lead integrated systems planning and recommend innovative technologies to enhance existing systems.

  • Recommend appropriate platforms, desktops, and communication links to support IT goals and strategy.

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of how own specialization contributes to business outcomes, as well as a good understanding of competitor products and services.

  • Act as an advisor or mentor to junior team members.

  • Apply advanced analytical thinking to resolve issues across a range of complex situations.

  • Influence architecture decisions through expertise, advice, and facilitation.

  • Guide, persuade, and influence others through effective communication and diplomacy skills.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Assess risk appropriately in decision-making, with a strong focus on safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate or report control issues transparently.

Core Skills:
  • Functional experience in the banking industry is required; strong understanding of functional flows in Payments, Liquidity, and Core Banking is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience working with Data Lakes and the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Spark, Scala, etc.).

  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting high-volume, high-TPS, resilient data pipelines.

  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools and techniques for effectively presenting data insights.

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile and Scaled Agile teams.

Qualifications:
  • 8 12 years of relevant experience.

  • Familiarity with enterprise and solution architecture.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Effective management and prioritization abilities.

  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships.

  • Skilled at managing multiple activities and shifting priorities.

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Self-starter with initiative and capacity to learn quickly.

  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and organized approach to work.

Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
