Location: Albany, NY 12228 (Hybrid 50% Bi-weekly Onsite)

Short Description

• The position will help provide technical support to the Division of Child Welfare and Community Services (CWCS) for the statewide Child Fatality Review and Prevention (CFRP) application used by OCFS for a centralized Child Fatality reporting.
• CFRP improves the timeliness of reporting, streamline the process for review teams, identification of recommended actions for practice improvement.
• The application data is sent daily to the data warehouse for use in Annual report creation and OCFS ad hoc reporting.
• CFRP allows for the automation of agency tasks and the creation of reports in a timely manner.
• This web based application uses best practices like NY.gov ID, role-based security to secure confidential data, provides reporting, navigation and caseload management.
• Future releases will require developer support. This position provides customer with technical support, development and reporting requests as needed.
• The application must abide by regulations for the reporting of Child Fatalities but also the tracking of trends and efforts for prevention.
• CONNECTIONS Data Import: Maintain and support interface with CONNECTIONS.
• Publishing of Finalized Reports.
• SharePoint: the reporting process uses O365 SharePoint, which interacts with CFRP application.
• Application Enhancements: The application will need to be enhanced for environmental upgrades the database, new security software and the move to new servers. To meet the user s needs, edits and issues must be addressed.

Responsibilities

• Work with client on analysis and requirement gathering.
• Perform complex .Net coding.
• Perform unit testing and correct all identified bugs.
• Respond to client inquiry and data requests.
• The individual in this position will work under the direction of a Project Manager. Perform writing of complex stored procedures/triggers in an Oracle database utilizing PL/SQL.

Required

• 84 months experience developing n-tiered applications utilizing .Net 4.7 or above using MVC pattern.
• 84 months experience writing and developing Web Services or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• 84 months experience with PL/SQL writing packages, stored procedures and triggers in Oracle databases.
• 72 months experience in design and developing application reports using Microsoft reporting tools such as SSRS.
• 72 months experience design & deployment of complex SQL objects and relational databases design.
• 60 months experience doing CI/CD using tools like Azure DevOps performing tasks such as automated builds, writing build & release pipelines and creating work items.
• Bachelor s Degree
