Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner IV to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will act as a key representative of business needs within a Scrum team, ensuring solutions align with user requirements and business goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and agile teams to deliver high-quality software through iterative processes.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business, technology, and architecture stakeholders to align product features with strategic goals and deliver results in an iterative manner.
Drive the story elaboration process for the Scrum team, ensuring there are at least two sprints' worth of fully prepared user stories.
Define clear acceptance criteria for user stories and approve completed stories based on these criteria.
Prioritize the team backlog to optimize outcomes and meet project objectives.
Maintain an organized and transparent user story backlog, ensuring visibility and clarity for all stakeholders.
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Gather feedback from product demos and incorporate it into the backlog for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners to coordinate feature development across teams.
Ensure the team thoroughly understands backlog items to execute tasks effectively.
Support agile processes using tools such as Jira and Rally to manage workflows efficiently.
Requirements
Proven experience as a dedicated Product Owner for Scrum teams, focusing exclusively on the Product Owner role.
Strong skills in writing and refining user stories tailored for software development teams.
Proficiency in using agile tools like Jira or Rally to manage project workflows.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with defining acceptance criteria and guiding teams through iterative delivery.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including business and technology teams.
Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies and processes, including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
