Job Details
The Futures Data & Operations team is a critical part of BAM's ongoing "Futures Modernization" initiative, which aims to enhance the end-to-end futures lifecycle across all asset classes. The team partners closely with Technology, Treasury, and external stakeholders to deliver operational efficiencies, reduce risk, and support the firm's trading activities. As a 2026 Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and gain exposure to the operational backbone of a leading multi-strategy hedge fund.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze large and complex datasets to generate key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics that support the Futures Modernization initiative.
- Meet with team members to understand workflow pain points and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Use Python and other programming skills to automate manual workflows and enhance data processing.
- Develop process flow charts and draft operational procedure documents to support team knowledge sharing and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Treasury to support ongoing projects and daily business needs.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all analytical and documentation work.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate student graduating between December 2026 and May 2027, majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and work with large datasets.
- Interest in financial markets and operations; prior finance experience is not required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong initiative, ownership mentality, and ability to work independently.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in analytical work.
