Description
Our clientis seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software and Application CI Inventory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of software and application configuration items (CIs) for our BMC Helix Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is critical in ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for IT service management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain CI Inventory: Create and manage a detailed inventory of software and application CIs, ensuring all relevant data is accurately captured and regularly updated in the CMDB.
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather information from various sources, including software documentation, system logs, and stakeholder interviews, to identify and document CIs.
CMDB Integration: Work closely with IT teams to integrate CI data into the CMDB, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across systems.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce data quality standards and validation processes to maintain the integrity of the CI inventory.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including component, featured and support teams to ensure the CI inventory supports business needs and ITIL processes.
Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports and provide documentation on CI inventory status, changes, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of CI inventory management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $105.00/hr.
