Description As a member of the Apple Silicon Validation Team, you will be responsible for bringing up, validating, and characterizing mixed-signal IP including on-chip memories, sensors, regulators, and other critical components. You will develop robust validation software, create automation frameworks, and conduct comprehensive PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) testing to ensure the highest quality standards are met. You will collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to solve complex validation challenges and contribute to Apple's industry-leading silicon designs. Bring up new silicon and validation platforms for mixed-signal IP components Develop comprehensive validation software to interact with and test IP functionality Create and maintain automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage Execute test plans and analyze results to verify design specifications are met Review design specifications and provide valuable feedback to IP designers Define and review platform requirements to support effective validation Coordinate with design, DV, DFT, hardware and lab teams to resolve issues Collaborate with DV teams on RTL simulations and waveform analysis Configure and automate lab instruments (oscilloscopes, DMMs, source meters, etc.) Generate detailed reports and dashboards to communicate validation status Present findings and analysis in cross-functional engineering forums Work with design/lab teams to define failure analysis experiments Develop specialized test content for silicon debug using advanced FA techniques

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $111,342 and $183,600 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 0 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal circuit behavior and validation methodologies
- Industry experience with mixed-signal IP validation preferred.
- Experience with automated test equipment and lab instrumentation
- Proficiency in programming (Python, C/C++, or similar languages)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Experience with hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in scripting/automation using Python, Tcl, Perl, or Shell
- Proficiency with source control applications (Git, SVN, Perforce)
- Experience in test data management and analysis
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Pandas, R, JMP, Tableau)
- Knowledge of DFT concepts, JTAG protocols, device physics, and ASIC design flows
- Ability to read and understand RTL and analog circuit designs
- Experience with DFT test pattern generation, playback, and debug
- Background in statistical analysis and experiment design.
