Oracle EBS Technical Analyst Reporting & Integrations
Location : San Antonio, TX, US

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Technical Analyst Reporting & Integrations to support technical design, development, and optimization across a complex Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 environment. This role will work across multiple financial and procurement modules to deliver high-quality reporting solutions, build integrations, support data flows, and ensure system stability across environments.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SQL/PLSQL, Oracle reporting tools, EBS APIs/open interfaces, and interface development. This is a hands-on technical role that requires excellent analytical skills, deep familiarity with Oracle EBS data models, and the ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle EBS reports using BI Publisher/XML Publisher, Oracle Reports, OTBI (if applicable), and custom SQL/PLSQL.
- Convert legacy or Discoverer-style reporting requirements into modern reporting components.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports for performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Build report templates, bursting definitions, parameter logic, and associated concurrent programs.
- Develop, enhance, and support inbound/outbound integrations between Oracle EBS and external systems using flat files, APIs, web services, and secure file transfer protocols.
- Build PL/SQL-based extract programs and staging logic to support interfaces and data flows.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand interface requirements and translate them into technical specs and data mapping documents.
- Validate integration performance, error handling, and reconciliation reports.
- Work within the Oracle EBS technical framework, including:
- Concurrent programs
- Value sets
- Flexfields (KFF/DFF)
- Personalizations and extensions
- Workflow-based logic (basic exposure acceptable)
- Create technical design documents (MD70), performance-optimized PL/SQL packages, functions, procedures, and APIs.
- Participate in RICEW planning, estimation, development, and validation.
- Create unit test scripts and perform unit testing for all developed components.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by resolving defects and validating test evidence.
- Work with QA and functional teams to ensure proper regression coverage during patches and releases.
- Analyze long-running SQL queries, tune PL/SQL, optimize indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot issues related to EBS concurrent managers, logs, data anomalies, and broken integrations.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for production environments, including root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including:
- Technical design specs
- Interface mapping documents
- Data flow diagrams
- Runbooks
- SOPs
- Ensure all technical artifacts conform to project governance, quality standards, and change-control policies.
- Maintain documentation updates as part of release readiness activities.
- Partner with functional analysts, DBAs, and architects to ensure cohesive technical design decisions across modules.
- Collaborate with data migration teams on extract logic and validation scripts.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and impact assessments for new features.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 5+ years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12 as a technical analyst or developer.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain before start.
- Strong expertise in:
- SQL/PL/SQL
- BI Publisher/XML Publisher
- Oracle Reports
- EBS open interfaces/APIs
- File-based integrations
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL and PL/SQL for large datasets.
- Experience supporting reports and integrations in complex ERP programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EBS Financials & Procurement data models (GL, AP, AR, PO, Projects).
- Knowledge of Oracle Workflow concepts.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD processes.
- Exposure to Oracle EBS R12.2 online patching concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Python or shell scripting for automation.
- Oracle certifications:
- Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate
- Oracle EBS R12 Technical Specialist
- Oracle Integration-related certifications
