Job Title: Lead Business Analyst (BA)
Duration: 2 Months
Location: Harrisburg, PA
About the Role
This position is responsible for managing key components and initiatives that support IT systems and their users. The role includes oversight of system functionality, coordination with vendor teams, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of tasks such as monthly data management and user support.
The Business Analyst will support subject matter experts in developing requirements, reviewing deliverables, tracking work for compliance, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT). Additionally, this role will lead business analysis efforts for various units and regional offices.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks across project teams.
Track and resolve system defects and manage change requests.
Oversee the expunction process and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
Provide regular reporting to stakeholders, including status updates.
Address data quality issues for system records and coordinate resolutions.
Develop and review user requirements and functional specifications.
Support system testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities.
Monitor project schedules and ensure alignment with scope.
Proactively identify, track, and resolve issues and risks.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and end users.
Serve as liaison between business units and technical teams.
Review and comment on technical and project documentation.
Ensure test cases and training content align with system requirements.
Promote adherence to IT governance and change control processes.
Track milestones and deliverables; report deviations as necessary.
Conduct project reviews and facilitate wrap-up activities.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive status reports.
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, TFS, MTM, and ServiceNow.
Work effectively within a team and be available for travel as needed.
Must-Have Requirements
7+ years of experience developing business, functional, and user requirements for IT systems
7+ years of experience with business analysis methodologies and techniques
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), especially in requirements gathering and UAT
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills to engage with diverse user groups
Experience in project management concepts and tools
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
2+ years of experience in the Child Welfare or Human Services field
IIBA certification or similar business analysis credential
