Job Description: Cloud Architect with AWS Experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with a strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, cloud infrastructure, and best practices for cloud-native application development. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in driving cloud adoption, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services.
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation to guide cloud adoption and migration.
- Create and maintain architectural diagrams for cloud environments.
- AWS Expertise:
- Leverage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and more to build robust solutions.
- Design serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Implement and manage containerized workloads using AWS ECS, EKS, or Fargate.
- Cloud Migration:
- Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution.
- Perform workload analysis and recommend strategies for cloud migration or optimization.
- Ensure minimal downtime and seamless transition during migrations.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and secure network configurations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Conduct regular security reviews and audits of cloud environments.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Utilize AWS tools like CloudWatch, Cost Explorer, and Trusted Advisor for performance and cost management.
- Automate repetitive tasks using AWS services and scripting tools.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to align cloud solutions with business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where relevant.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience in designing and deploying solutions on AWS.
- Proficiency in AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and storage in cloud environments.
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is highly preferred.
- Additional AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
