Description
Our client is seeking a strategic and people-focused Manager of Infrastructure App Virtualization to lead our application delivery and virtualization team. This team is responsible for maintaining and modernizing our Citrix environment, with a strategic roadmap that includes transitioning to Microsoft Azure and exploring technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, solid understanding of application virtualization platforms, and a proven ability to guide a technical team through growth, change, and innovation. This individual will be expected to align technical services with organizational needs while fostering a high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for Citrix-based application virtualization and emerging platforms like AVD.
Provide vision, direction, and mentorship to the team; develop training paths and support career growth.
Collaborate with infrastructure, clinical, and business teams to align virtualization strategies with organizational priorities.
Oversee planning, operations, and governance for the virtualization platform, including capacity, lifecycle, upgrades, and support models.
Support the companies migration strategy from on-prem Citrix to Azure-hosted solutions.
Partner with IT leadership on budgeting, vendor management, platform licensing, and contract negotiations.
Ensure operational excellence through documentation, process improvement, incident management, and proactive system monitoring (delegated to engineers).

Located in or near Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote model.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
