We are seeking a Senior Network Systems Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure, primarily as a computer network designer or architect in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
In this role, you will participate in network engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test.
Note:
Some travel is required to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
7+ years experience as a mid-senior experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure
Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security+, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast)
Desired skills
In-depth knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching
Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, FreeIPA authentication service
Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, and Python
Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
