Description
Mount Sinai is looking for a desktop field technician on their Windows 11 deployment project. This project overlaps with their Epic readiness project to prepare for their go-live at Mt. Sinai South Nassau Hospital. Mount Sinai South Nassau will be migrating from their current EMR to Epic in Nov 2025 to be consistent with the Mt. Sinai EMR
Mount Sinai needs these resources to assist in the hardware deployment which includes monitor and hardware swaps, imaging machines with Windows 11 and deploying the hardware which includes laptops, desktops and tablets, scanners, credit card readers and e-signature pads. They will also assist in testing the systems to make sure they are operational and help with any log on issues and will be able to escalate any issues that they cannot handle. This will involve communication across the project team (PM, Technicians, practices, internal Mt. Sinai Epic Tech team and/or internal Mt. Sinai Desktop and Network Infra teams). They will need to update Excel spreadsheets with appropriate asset information.
Deployment will take place early June through end of July, but there is a good chance they could potentially be extended until Sept/October.
Most of the work will be done during a standard work shift (Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm) BUT there could be work scheduled outside of the normal hours throughout multiple locations depending on the availability of the physician practices for the data collection (starting earlier in the morning certain days and/or starting later and working later other days).
The work will be completed at the Mt. Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, a large facility in Hicksville, and 28-30 remote sites in and around predominantly the Nassau County area that includes Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Valley Stream, Oceanside, Bellmore, Levittown, Huntington Station, Hewlett, Long Beach, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Hempstead.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
