Senior Actuary Personal Lines Rate Filings (Auto/Umbrella) REMOTE (ACAS/FCAS Required)

We are seeking a credentialed Actuary (ACAS or FCAS) with proven experience in personal lines rate filings for Auto or Umbrella insurance. This is not a data engineering or data analytics role it s a senior actuarial position focused on regulatory filings, rate adequacy, and state DOI engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support personal lines rate filings (Auto and Umbrella), including direct engagement with state DOIs.

Independently review and provide feedback on rate filings prepared by junior analysts, ensuring actuarial soundness and strategic alignment.

Anticipate and address DOI objections with thoughtful, data-driven responses that uphold filing integrity and align with business objectives.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure filings reflect current trends, regulatory expectations, and competitive positioning.

Utilize Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to prepare analyses, documentation, and presentations supporting rate filings and regulatory discussions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field.

4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience, with at least 2 years focused on personal lines rate filings in the United States.

ACAS or FCAS designation required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of Visual Basic or other programming languages a plus.

Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
