Application Security Architect (Google Cloud Platform)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a highly skilled Application Security Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to lead the design and implementation of secure application architectures. This role will be pivotal in embedding security into the software development lifecycle and ensuring that applications deployed in Google Cloud Platform are resilient against modern threats.

Key Responsibilities:
* Application Security Architect (Google Cloud Platform) will design and implement secure application architectures in Google Cloud Platform, ensuring alignment with security best practices and compliance requirements
* Define and enforce secure coding standards, threat modeling practices, and application security testing protocols
* Collaborate with development, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Binary Authorization
* Lead the implementation of identity and access controls, API security, data protection, and workload isolation in Google Cloud Platform-hosted applications
* As an Application Security Architect (Google Cloud Platform), you will conduct security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing of cloud-native applications
* Evaluate and implement application security tools such as SAST, DAST, IAST, and RASP
* Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and Google Cloud Platform security features

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience in application security, with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform
* Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
* Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud IAM, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, and VPC Service Controls
* Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and modern application architectures (e.g., microservices, containers, serverless)
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go)
* Google Cloud Platform certifications such as Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
