Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid/Onsite)

Salary Range: $120,000 $160,000 per year (DOE)
Reports To: Director of Engineering / CTO

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment automation. You'll work closely with developers, QA engineers, and IT teams to ensure reliable software releases and infrastructure scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security across staging and production environments

  • Automate system configuration and deployment using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

  • Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes or ECS

  • Maintain version control systems and branching strategies

  • Implement and manage logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)

  • Ensure security best practices in cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering role

  • Strong experience with CI/CD, automation, and scripting (Bash, Python, or Go)

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration

  • Familiarity with Git workflows and release management practices

Preferred:

  • Certification in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)

  • Experience with service mesh, zero-downtime deployments, and blue/green or canary releases

  • Exposure to regulatory environments like SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS
