responsibilities:
- Strategic Security Development: Apply your expertise in controls, threats, vulnerabilities, and risk to contribute to future-state security planning and roadmaps, actively hardening systems and closing vulnerabilities.
- Security System Implementation & Management: Lead the implementation of diverse security systems, including DLP, SIEM, anti-viranti-malware, application listing, web/email security, IAM, Mobile Access Management, firewalls, IPS, Encryption, and VPNs. This includes specifying methodologies, directing installations, and providing essential technical support.
- Threat Detection & Response: Proactively investigate intrusion detections, malware, and other malicious activities, applying forensic techniques to analyze security incidents.
- Policy & Compliance Enforcement: Develop, maintain, and improve strict security policies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Train peers and other team members on newly deployed security products and solutions, preparing comprehensive SOPs and troubleshooting documents.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Create and maintain critical security program documentation and collaborate seamlessly with internal IT teams on projects and troubleshooting.

qualifications:
- Education: A four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least five years of dedicated experience in network security and/or systems management with a strong focus on information security.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with a wide array of security technologies and concepts (e.g., DLP, SIEM, IAM, firewalls, IPS, encryption).
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.
- Certifications (Preferred): Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, OSCP, or CISSP are highly valued.
