As the AVP, Insurance Data Platform Lead at Everest Insurance, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how commercial insurance leverages analytics. In this role, you'll work closely with Underwriting Operations and business leaders to build and integrate data platforms that power smarter decisions. From backend systems like the Data Warehouse and WINS to modern cloud-first architecture, you'll be central to Everest's data transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with internal teams to understand strategic analytics and BI needs
  • Lead technology initiatives that deliver actionable, data-driven capabilities aligned with business goals
  • Develop and execute data and analytics strategies and roadmaps for rapid delivery and scalability
  • Define and implement modern cloud-based data architecture, tooling, and governance
  • Enable intuitive self-service access to secure, high-quality data across the enterprise
  • Support rapid ingestion of new data and deployment of advanced analytic models
  • Promote engineering practices that encourage reuse, automation, and inner sourcing in a cloud-first DevOps environment
  • Champion data transformation and cloud adoption with a focus on security, governance, and data integrity
  • Manage cross-team delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes within scope, time, and budget

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience, including 8+ in the insurance industry
  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud platform and data engineering
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and streaming frameworks like Apache Kafka
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, modeling, and structured/unstructured data
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps in Azure and high-volume data processing
  • An agile mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Experience building .NET services in AKS environments

The base salary range for this position is $173,000 - $237,500 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
