Are you ready to push the boundaries of what's possible in wireless and space technologies?
As an RF Engineer II, you'll contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge systems-from advanced mission payloads and high-performance electronics to next-generation aerospace and orbital platforms.
You'll work at the intersection of RF engineering and system innovation, applying your expertise to solve complex challenges in radio frequency design, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop RF front-end systems, including analog and digital circuit components.
- Conduct radio propagation modeling, microwave path analysis, and interference mitigation.
- Perform RF frequency planning, filter design, and analog-to-digital conversion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems into multi-disciplinary platforms.
- Use advanced simulation tools to analyze antenna patterns, link budgets, and cosite performance.
- Support testing and validation using industry-standard RF test equipment and methodologies.
- Develop technical documentation, including test plans, analysis reports, and compliance checklists.
- Ensure designs meet MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461, and other relevant aerospace and defense standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in RF system design, analysis, or testing.
- Conceptual understanding of RF engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with RF modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, AWR, HFSS, EMIT).
- Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with RF analysis techniques such as cosite analysis, E3 integration, and link budget calculations.
- Proficiency with tools such as ANSYS HFSS, EMIT, SAVANT/SBR+, Keysight GENESYS, Sonnet, AWR Microwave Office, and VSS.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics Xpedition, PADS).
- Skilled in using RF test equipment including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or government-related RF systems development.
- Ability to produce substantiation documentation for compliance with industry standards.
