Job Description for Trade Finance Business Analyst
Role Responsibilities
Understand business requirements for trade finance products, such as Letters of Credit (LC), Collections, Guarantees, FI Trade Loans and Account receivable Purchase.
Conduct needs analysis and assess the technical viability of proposed solutions.
Review and validate requirements with business users and stakeholders
Collaborate with the technical team on the solution architecture and design.
Ensure the implemented solution aligns with the high-level solution design and business requirements.
Consult on database development and application integration.
Validate that the implementation meets all business and technical requirements, including security and performance.
Act as the business/functional counterpart to the project manager and development team.
Communicate effectively with business users, developers, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
Facilitate meetings and workshops for requirements and solution validation.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor s or equivalent. Masters is a plus.
Apply knowledge of trade finance products and governing rules (e.g., UCP, URC).
Understand commercial banking products and processes, such as payment processing and transaction management.
Possess familiarity with the specific trade finance applications being replaced or implemented, such as China Systems, Finastra, UCP600 etc.
