Transition to Operations Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with big-picture operational thinking to make a direct impact on national security space missions? Do you understand how space systems are developed, tested, and ultimately accepted by operators, and how to bridge the gap between acquisition and sustained operations? If so, join the Space Sensing Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team and help deliver mission-critical space capabilities to the warfighter.
As a Transition to Operations (TTO) engineer, you will guide the program through the critical shift from development, integration, and test into operational acceptance and long-term sustainment. You will work across government, FFRDC, and contractor teams to ensure space and ground systems are operationally ready, supportable, and aligned with user needs. Your leadership will help shape operational concepts, readiness criteria, and transition plans for a highest-priority military space program.
Your client will rely on you to plan and execute TTO strategies, develop and manage transition artifacts, and coordinate with system testers, operators, and sustainers to ensure a smooth and disciplined handoff to operations. You will participate in and lead transition planning working groups, operational readiness reviews, and sustainment planning activities. You will also engage directly with warfighters to ensure the system meets real-world mission needs and can be effectively used by operators.
Join us. The world can't wait.
