Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with a strong background in Hadoop Cloudera and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to lead and deliver critical infrastructure and data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical know-how, hands-on experience in enterprise data environments, and exceptional project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage full lifecycle of projects involving Cloudera Hadoop ecosystems and SRE practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and timelines.
Drive execution, monitoring, and reporting of project milestones, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Ensure SRE principles are applied to project components to maintain system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Identify risks and develop mitigation plans proactively.
Facilitate regular status meetings and create executive-level dashboards and updates.
Work closely with DevOps/SRE teams to coordinate deployments, incident responses, and operational improvements.
Coordinate with vendors and external partners for tools, integrations, or services.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of experience in Project Management in the tech or financial industry.
Strong hands-on experience or deep understanding of Cloudera Hadoop platform.
Proven experience managing SRE-focused projects or working alongside SRE teams.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

Preferred Skills:

PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications.
Experience in enterprise-scale data environments and distributed systems.
Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, etc.
