Our mission on the Lightroom design team is simple: to be the most robust, approachable photography software for all skill levels. We believe that photography pros and passionate hobbyists are all our customers for Lightroom CC.

Photography is an accessible and democratic artistic medium. In the modern era, expensive equipment isn't required to create images that inspire both artist and audience. Lightroom was among the first to change the world and put digital photography in the hands of people who aren't photography and editing experts.

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Sr Experience Designer for the Lightroom CC team. We are excited to find hardworking and experienced designers to influence every part of the design process from problem definition & vision, to design development & continuous enhancement.

We work very closely with our partners across the Lightroom organization in product management, engineering, and marketing to deliver solutions that have a direct and measurable impact on the business. We have an exceptional team of designers, product managers and engineers who are eager to work with you to deliver meaningful, user-centric experiences that photographers of all types and experience levels rely on every day to fulfill their creative vision.

What you'll do
  • Simplify. Listen to and translate our users' complex needs into practical design solutions that are grounded in user research and data.
  • Integrate. Work with some of the industry's most dedicated engineering research teams to develop and launch the next generation of photography tools.
  • Collaborate. Work across the full spectrum of the software design process to bring your ideas to life, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Design Research and more.
  • Balance. Confidence in driving multiple projects forward while delivering on short term goals.
  • Lead. Inspire teammates and forge relationships through project work, constructive critique and presentations.

What you need to succeed
  • A degree in a design-related field (HCI, interaction, visual), or comparable work experience.
  • 5+ years of product design experience. Experience with consumer-facing software is a nice bonus.
  • Experience with Figma or Adobe XD, presentation tools such as Keynote and PowerPoint, and organization tools like Jira, Airtable and Trello.
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate sophisticated ideas both verbally and in writing form.
  • Confidence working on small visual design details, to leading vision work for years in the future.
  • Comfort mentoring, encouraging an inclusive and empowering environment for other designers to do innovative and impactful work.
  • Experience and passion for photography a phenomenal addition.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $112,000 -- $214,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
