CW-Data Analyst
The Data Analyst identifies current market sector trends and customer patterns through statistical modeling and analytics. This job assists in examining and identifying data trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. Working under moderate supervision, this job collects data sources, analyzes data and extracts key information. This job helps monitor and evaluate data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements.

The role of the Analyst Data Management focuses primarily on set up, maintenance and validation of key data components and attributes pertaining to accounts, holdings, securities, positions and prices in enterprise databases and related tools. This position will support Start of Day, hours will start early.
Functional Responsibilities:
Understand the data matrix supported by Nuveen systems, the product lines serviced and its usage to Nuveen Global Investment Operations and
other user departments
Set up/Maintain/Verify account, security, SMF, Pricing, Portfolio Holdings and Positions data in enterprise databases and related applications as
per existing standard operating procedurs and/or instructions received from the business.
Monitor and summarize start-of-day and End-of-day data exceptions in databases and related applications
Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
Identify and escalate process/delivery risks.
Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external business teams for information.
Required Experience: 2 - 3.5 Years
Investment Banking / Asset Management Industry experience in an offshored operations environment.
Experience working with security reference data across asset classes including equities, fixed income and derivatives.
Experience working with entity data across investment vehicles including pooled products, institutional separately managed portfolios or retail separately managed portfolios.
Knowledge of market data sources, products and tools.
Skills and Abilities: Required
Ability to analyze process/data exceptions and proven attention to detail.
Ability to work relatively independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Prioritization and problem solving skills
Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel & VBA) and SQL (preferred).
Very good communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred
Experience/expertise in the use of some/all : Eagle Pace (Performance and Data Management), Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg API, SS&C Portia, Long View Trading, Charles River Trading system, Oracle SQL Developer, Reuters, ICE

- Helps develop data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential future business decisions.
- Works to develop detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance and investment management based on data summaries.
- Recognizes areas of opportunity and risk through data analysis and modelling and reports findings.
- Provides information for additional research and analysis in line with statistical methodology.
- Assists other areas of the business to model the potential outcomes of implementing various business strategies.
