Invoice Analyst
Location: Theodore, AL
Contract: 6 months (could extend)
Pay: $26.44 hr. to $28.85 hr.
Job Description:
Must have a background in Data Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) to help transform and streamline our Time; Materials tracking and invoicing process.
You will apply data skills to real-world operational problems and build solutions that make a tangible business impact.
You will play a key role in analyzing existing workflows, building automation tools, and developing data-driven systems that improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
Analyze the current workflow (labor hours, material usage, billing inputs)
Design and implement an automated tracking and invoicing system using data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Power Automate)
Create dashboards and reporting for project managers, finance, and leadership
Collaborate with operations, finance, and IT to understand needs and integrate tools
Document and train users on the new automated processes and systems
Qualifications
Degree in Data Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related field (graduated within the past 1-2 years)
Proficiency in Excel, data cleaning, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier)
Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset
Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical users and gather business requirements
Bonus Skills
Experience with time-tracking or invoicing software
Exposure to ERP systems or financial reporting tools
Familiarity with API integrations or low-code platforms
