Technical Superintendent Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join our team. As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal operational readiness of our fleet while prioritizing safety and vessel reliability. You will develop and implement policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Technical Superintendent Responsibilities:
  • Lead and promote a safety-first mindset onboard and in the office
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective AML controls and provide technical guidance
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to AML compliance
  • Oversee crew management matters, including training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Manage ship maintenance to ensure seaworthiness and compliance with organization procedures
  • Monitor ship budget and expenditure, submitting quarterly reports and key performance indicators
  • Conduct risk analysis, including nature and causes of serious breakdowns and damages

Technical Superintendent Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including shipboard and technical ship management experience
  • US Chief Engineer or 1st Assistant Engineer's Unlimited License (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering, vessels, and systems
  • Expertise in regulatory and classification society rules, ISO, and ISM
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent in English

Technical Superintendent Preferred Position Requirements:
  • Experience with risk analysis and management
  • Knowledge of ship acquisition, conversion, and drydocking
  • Familiarity with ship stability and structural integrity
