RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst in Kalamazoo, MI.
Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
* IT Business Systems Analyst will collect and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and system observations
* Evaluate business processes, workflows, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
* Partner with business units to define requirements and design technology solutions that meet organizational needs
* Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams
* Conduct process mapping and gap analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives
* Provide advanced application support, troubleshooting complex issues, and resolving user-reported problems
* Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and work with development teams for permanent resolution
* Assist with deployment of application updates, patches, and new releases, minimizing operational disruption
* Monitor application performance, conduct system health checks, and maintain optimal functioning
* As an IT Business Systems Analyst, you will support user training and create documentation to enable full utilization of applications
* Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders on application issues and enhancements
* Collaborate with support teams to improve first-response resolution of application issues
* Provide Tier 3 escalation support for all critical application issues
* Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours application support as needed
* Contribute to enterprise technology planning, decisions, and process improvements
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards for business applications
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
* 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, application support, or other IT systems roles
* Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements and collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders
* Hands-on experience supporting critical business applications, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with development teams for solutions
* Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively across business units, IT teams, and external partners
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and thorough troubleshooting
* Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and business processes
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
